St. John Schools Recognize Students
for Perfect Attendance
The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board recently recognized those students who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to their learning by attending school each and every day.
Those students recognized this year were cited for at least two consecutive years of perfect attendance.
The students accomplishing this goal included the following:
Donavan Brooks and Donte Jones of Fifth Ward Elementary, honored for two consecutive years of perfect attendance.
Tysheka Lestrick and Roy Woodson of East St. John High School, as well as Carlin Bartholomew of John L. Ory Magnet, honored for three consecutive years of perfect attendance.
Leonard Harris of Lake Pontchartrain Elementary, honored for five consecutive years of perfect attendance; and Chelsea Fannin of East St. John High, honored for 10 consecutive years of perfect attendance.
“We are very proud of the commitment these students and their parents have given to our school system,” said Superintendent Courtney P. Millet.
Millet noted that good attendance is a factor in improving student test scores.
